Please inspect your purchase immediately after it arrives. Clothing
should be fitted for size as soon as possible, and hard goods should be
thoroughly inspected. Its best to try and accomplish this within the
first 3 days after receipt of goods.
Should you desire to return an item, PLEASE contact us within 14 days of
package delivery (don't worry about transit time). A Voicemail or email is fine.
Please include the name the order was made under, the order number, today's date
and the issue or reason for return. At this point we'll work with you to resolve
any questions. You may still contact us up to 30 days after receipt of your
package, but after the 14 day limit, you will be responsible for all shipping
(regardless), will be assessed a 25% restocking fee on returns, and any claims
of damage will be referred to the manufacturer. Please contact us early, we are
real easy people to deal with if you make the effort to communicate.
Please assume that you (the customer) are responsible for all shipping costs
when exchanging or returning for size, color, style, feature, doesn't go with
my..., didn't really need, etc. Please understand that a changed mind does not
negate the cost of door to door service. We'll describe our preferred
return-shipping method during your return claim. Should we decide to refund
shipping costs, we will refund only the cost of our preferred return shipping
method (or something that's darn close).
Absolutely no full refunds on overnight, next-day, express or similar premium
services, nor will we pay to use a premium service a second time. If we must
refund shipping or ship again (for any reason) on a premium service, we will
only credit you the standard ground shipping cost. You must make up the

Please inspect all packaging when it arrives. Freight can be subjected to rough
handling during transit. Claims arising from damage during transit MUST be filed
through the Freight Carrier. We can happily assist you through the process and
help you get a replacement item (we may even cut you a little discount), but we
are not responsible for damage arising from third parties.
Remember also, items from Villageoutfitters.com come directly from our
physical storefront. Our regular employees (not to mention our customers) have
already looked at that item before it ships out. We inspect our goods when we
receive them and again before we send them. That said, we know we can make
mistakes, or some damage is not obvious or otherwise obscured. Should this
occur, we'll compromise a solution. If we're wrong, we'll fix it, but remember:
You not liking it does not make it defective. All returned merchandise is
subject to inspection.
For the special case of included batteries: batteries provided by the
manufacturer are a courtesy, not an obligation. You purchase the device, the
batteries are a gift. Return claims for dead batteries will not be honored.
